Sister Hughes had been an active present member of Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church until death. She was a member for 80 years.
She had over 30 years of Service for the Army Finance and Accounting Center, currently known as DFAS.
She loved IU Basketball and Bobby Knight. Sister Hughes was a fan of both the Chicago Cubs, and the Cincinnati Reds. She loved enjoyed playing cards and games.
On August 8, 2016, she departed this life to go home with her Heavenly Father. She leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Mary J. Harrison; two nephews, Rodney Morton, and Tony Carter; two nieces, Pamela Searcy and Sharon Harrison and Numerous nieces and nephews. She joins her parents, Ira Hughes and Ruth C Hughes-Moore in heaven to rejoice forevermore.
