Janet Hays Thomas

JANET HAYS THOMAS passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 in Indianapolis, IN. Janet is predeceased by her father, Keith A. Hays. Janet is survived by her loving daughter Heather Thomas (Fredericksburg, VA), her mother Barbara Hays (Indianapolis, IN), her brother David (Amy) Hays (Raleigh, NC) her sister Lori (Tracy) Friddle (Indianapolis, IN) and her nieces and nephews.

Janet was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 9, 1958. She graduated from Warren Central High School in 1976 and went on to earn a landscape architecture degree from Purdue University and later an interior design degree from Harrington College of Design. Janet worked for nearly 20 years at IDO Incorporated as a Registered Interior Designer. Through her passion for nature, architecture, sustainability, and art, Janet became an accomplished textile artist.

The visitation will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery, Remembrance Hall, located at 700 W. 38th Street Indianapolis, IN on Thursday, July 26th from 11:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. A life celebration will begin at 1:00p.m. Graveside interment and then a reception/gathering will follow in the Celebration Hall.
