Joann Bartholomew

JoAnn Bartholomew, age 88, of Martinsville, Indiana passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was born on April 26, 1935 to parents, Byron C. Russell and Elizabeth (Hundley) Russell. JoAnn went on to graduate high school and enter into Cosmetology, completing her training as a hairstylist. She had also spent a great many years in Gas City, IN as well as Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. JoAnn was preceded in her death by her mother and father, Byron C. Russell and Elizabeth (Hundley) Russell. Brothers, Paul, James, Byron, and Joseph Russell and sisters, Mildred Martin and Laura Margaret Weatherly. JoAnn is survived by her brother, Harry E. Russell of Fishers, IN. Children, Robert, Sherryl Gaines, Steven, Michael, David and Paul. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 from 11AM to 1PM at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E. 71st St, Indianapolis, IN 46220. A service will follow at 1PM. JoAnn will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made out to: Stability First (Write Magdalene House on memo line), 210 W. Morgan St, Martinsville, IN 46151.
