Joe accepted Christ at an early age and later in life he attended Eastern Star Church.

Joe Louis was a great businessman and entrepreneur, most importantly a very happy and fun-loving family man. Joe enjoyed cooking, traveling the world, fine cars and fine fashion and you could tell by the way he was always impeccably dressed. He truly lived his life to the fullest and was revered by many. Joe was truly loved by many and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Joe was preceded in death by his siblings, A.D. Trotter “Bus”, Penny Nelson “Mary”, Ida Jewell “Tut”, Frank Trotter, Willie Ruth “Aunt Bill”, Cecil Andrew Trotter, and Wilson Travis Trotter “Cakey”. On Sunday, January 26, 2025, Joe Louis Trotter departed this life on earth at the age of 89 years.

Joe Trotter lived an extraordinary life and was a great father to his children that he loved dearly. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Carole Trotter Drane, Terrie Trotter Wade (John), Mary Trotter Combs, Jacqueline Finch, Mariana Payson (Thomas Comisso) and Melanie Trotter; grandchildren, Tasha Graves, Miesha Jones, Becky Chazz, Kamerin, Kenedy, Raegan and Merrick; nephew, Tyrone Nelson and great niece Robin Rice (Derica) and a host of many other famil and friends to honor his legacy.
