Although I had the pleasure of knowing John only two years or so, I considered him to be a good friend. He was a wonderful conversationalist and a music aficionado. We often took turns playing somewhat obscure music at the Hilltop. We also had many excellent discussions concerning our favorite books and movies. I hated to hear of his passing. God bless him.

I meet John when he came to work at Community East. I loved to work with John.
When I was in the hospital in 1995, I know he stayed over when he didn’t have to to do my emergency exams. He said he couldn’t go home because he wanted to make sure my exams were done right. I’m grateful he cared enough…

There is just too much to say about John for this page. However , I will always remember our slow dances on the front porch late at night while listening to his favorite songs. We laughed , we cried, we argued , we sang and just shared our deepest thoughts with each other. He told me he was " The Mayor of Irvington " and his abode was "Tater Rock Manor". That always brings a smile to my face. But most of all...He was my best friend and I'll miss our coffee talks each morning very much. You were and are loved by many John.

John and I shared classes at Little Flower grade school and at Scecina Memorial High School. John was always kind and considerate towards me.
Back in 1987 after living in various states, I began working at Community East Hospital. One day as I was walking down a hallway I saw a familiar face! John greeted me and made me feel “at home” again. It was always good to see him there. He will be greatly missed by many.

I met John the day after I buried my mother. What a conversation that was! And now the world feels a little sadder and a bit dimmer. Prayers for peace and comfort are being said for John’s family and friends. Rest in peace, my friend.

I went to X-Ray school with John for two years and what a character he was. We lost touch after that, but I often think about many of my classmates and wonder how things turned out for them. John was one of those, and in reading his facebook page, it's obvious from all the outpouring of love for him that he led a great life and cared deeply for family and friends. My condolences to all those mourning his loss.

John made a Sarah McLaughlin CD for me, years ago . He cared about and for everyone! He and I were just swapping movie suggestions. I am proud to have been his friend.

See you down the road John,

John knew how much I love Van Morrison. I was at work one day at the barbershop and he came in and had made me a Van Morrison CD. He said I promise you there are some songs on there that you probably never heard. He was right. That's the best CD ever. I misplaced it a few months back but then I found it thank goodness because I love that CD. Thank you so much John. May you r i p
