John Robert Murphy, 53, passed away on Pearl Harbor Day. He was born on January 1, 1957. For years, he thought the parade on that day was in his honor. As a boy, he suffered a brain injury when he was hit by a car. Later, he graduated from Franklin Community High School in Franklin where he grew up. John loved history, animals, sports, and Dr. Pepper. He enjoyed books and trips to museums and monuments. John was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Murphy and his cat, Pepper. Survivors include his mother Ruth B. (Berghorn) Murphy, sister Anne Murphy, brother Mark Murphy and sister-in-law Julia Wilder. Services will be held on Monday December 13, 2010 at 12:00 P.M. at the Crown Hill Funeral Home Chapel with calling from 11:30 A.M.
