Jose Solis

JOSE SOLIS 84, of Greenwood, IN, formerly of Detroit, MI, and East Chicago, IN, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2019, surrounded by family. Jose is survived by his wife of 55 years Maria “Coco”, son Jose (Patty), and grandchildren Jose Cesar, Justice, and Annika of Indianapolis. He is also survived by sisters Fernanda Esquivel and Andrea Arispe and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Alejandro and Maria (Alvarez), sisters Olga and Esther (Rodriguez), and brothers Crescencio and Enrique. Jose was born in Laredo, TX on July 2, 1935. After retiring in 2005 he uprooted to Greenwood to be closer to his 3 grandbabies. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching old western shows, and was a known avid bingo player.
