Joseph Edward "Joe" Smallwood

Joseph Edward "Joe" Smallwood, age 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022. Joe was born June 4, 1943 in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Ruth Hazel (Hollowell) Smallwood and Leanord Franklin Smallwood. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Smallwood, Phillip Smallwood, and Kay "Sandra" Breedlove and former wife, Becky (Norris) Boring. Joe was a dedicated member of Epworth United Methodist Church serving as greeter and Stephen Minister. He served in the US Air Force. Joe worked for Chrysler, Millbank, Tom Wood Dealerships, Perfection Paint, Reynolds Farm Equipment, and Britton Golf Course where he would also be a course champion.

Joe is survived by his wife, Susan (Wolf) Smallwood; children, Todd Joseph Smallwood (Tracey) and Kristi Lynn (Smallwood) Scheiman (Joe); and grandchildren, Zack Smallwood, Connor Scheiman, Cole Scheiman, and Dylan Lapetina.

Memorial Visitation for will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Epworth United Methodist Church, 6450 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.

He will be laid to rest in Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
