

Julia Ann Duke - 68, Indianapolis - passed away on Wednesday February 13, 2013. Daughter of Minnie Scott Thomason and Albert Scott, she was born May 27, 1944. Her husband, mother and father preceded her in death. Julia attended Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1962. Later in life Julia earned a degree in writing from NYU School of writing. Julia then went on to fulfill her dream of working in the big city New York, New York where she worked for 28 years as Marketing Financial Assistant for several large companies such as Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals Doloitte & Touché consulting group. After 911 Julia decided to move from the big city and landed a job at Princeton University as Dean's assistance in the office of the Dean of Undergraduate where she retired from.
Julia returned home to Indianapolis January 20, 2012 and soon after reinstated her membership with Northside New Era Baptist Church, 517 West 30th Street, Rev. Dr. Clarence C. Moore, Pastor.
She leaves to cherish her memory, an only child Luther M Duke, a brother Albert Scott, a sister Winona Davis, nieces, Paula Scott and Sheila (Derrick) Glass, nephews, Jason Scott, Marcus (Demetria) Scott and Quincy Scott, grand nieces, Kearia Harris, Keania Harris, Courtney Tinnin and Daisa Glass, grand nephews, Marcus Scott Jr., Derrick Glass Jr., Demetrius Scott, Taz Scott, Elliott Scott, Demarks Scott and 2 great grandnieces and 2 great grand nephews.
