

Julia E. Kane, 95 was surrounded by her loving children when she passed away on December 10, 2011. She was born to the late Louis and Pearl(Arney)Speer in Jennings County, Indiana.Julia married Thomas Kane on Nov. 8, 1941. After raising six children, she became a math tutor and bus monitor for Indianapolis Public Schools for 10 years and worked at the St. Elizabeth Home. She also worked Bingo at St. Catherine’s, St. Francis de Sales and Holy Name for many years. Julia was a great hostess to the family’s many friends and was known for her wonderful chocolate mayonnaise cake. She belonged to the Ave Maria Guild at St. Paul’s Hermitage and belonged to the Altar Society at St. Francis de Sales and Holy Name.
Julia is survived by two sons; Leo(wife Nancy)Kane and Henry(wife Rebecca Jo)Kane, four daughters; Rose
Marie “Rhodie”(husband Bob)Faust, Mary(husband Russell)Begley, Martha(husband Raymond)Foster and Nancy(husband Bryan)Ellis, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.She is also survived by four sisters; Lula Seger, Nancy Morris Vogel, Donna Arianoutsos, and Barbara Bowers. Julia was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Kane, two brothers; Leo Speer and Andrew Speer and two sisters; Leona Bishop, Mary Biehle.Friends may call on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. in Little and Sons Funeral Home Stop 11 Chapel, 4901 E.
