Keith grew up in Indianapolis, where he attended St. Francis and St. Andrew schools. At a young age, he was baptized as a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Joshua Cutler. As a teenager, he moved to Texas, where he continued his education at North Mesquite High School. From a young age, Keith showed himself to be bright and capable, excelling in school and developing a wide range of practical skills.
He had a quick wit, was naturally charming, and had a gift for making others laugh and enjoy life. Keith loved to fix things and had a remarkable ability to work with his hands. He was largely self-taught, even learning to build bikes on his own, a testament to his curiosity and determination.
Over the years, Keith earned several certifications in skilled trades, including small engine repair, diesel repair, and plumbing, among others. His intelligence, work ethic, and hands-on talents allowed him to solve problems and help others in meaningful ways.
Keith returned to Indianapolis from Texas to assist in the care of his mother, a role he embraced with love and dedication. He also extended that same care to others, assisting his cousin A. Yvette and supporting the youth in his family. Keith made a meaningful and lasting impact on Dhamon "Dham" Christian, Prince Kendrick, Na’Yomi Ross, Kayla Bentley, and Shania Jackson, offering guidance, encouragement, and a positive presence in their lives.
A man of service, Keith faithfully volunteered at his church and had a giving spirit that touched many. He contributed his time and energy to Loyalty Transportation with his brother Scott, the Green Thumb Community Garden with cousin LaShaunna and sister Portia, Real Estate Investment Ventures with his nephew Roger, and many other efforts that supported and uplifted those around him.
Keith also had an entrepreneurial spirit, a trait he inherited from his father, Peter. Alongside Micah Sholar, he ventured into buying and exchanging sneakers. With Keith "Kacy" Jackson, he explored buying and trading coins and perfumes. These ventures reflected his curiosity, drive, and passion for connecting with others through shared interests and opportunities.
Keith had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed riding bikes, grooming, riding horses, hunting, and playing cards. These are the activities that brought him joy and often brought others together in laughter and fellowship.
Above all, Keith valued family and connection. He carried with him the love and lessons instilled by his parents, Rochelle and Peter. He shared that same care and generosity with those around him. He will be remembered for his resilience, kindness, humor, and the joy he brought into the lives of others.
Keith’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
