Kelly met and married her husband Lawrence Sanders in Denver, Colorado, where they had six children, Lawrence Sanders Junior, Jason Sanders, Kelsey Sanders, Donovan Sanders, Ashley Sanders and Aaron Sanders. She became a widow around 2000 and shortly after she moved her and her four children back to Indianapolis, Indiana. That’s where she continued to care for and raise and provide for her four younger children and grandchildren until the day she died.
Kelly leaves behind her children and five grandchildren, Jaslyn Sanders, McKenzie Sanders, Kingston Watford, Dallas Watford and Vincenzo James.
Kelly will be missed dearly; she always put other people before herself. Family was the most important thing in this world to her; the family is very glad to celebrate her life and her legacy forever.
A visitation for Kelly will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.
