

58, of Indianapolis departed this life Thursday, September 6, 2012. In spite of his long battle with MS, Ken remained keenly optimistic. His sunny disposition and sense of humor shall remain an inspiration to those lives he touched.
Ken was born November 6, 1953 in Kansas City, MO to August Elof “Gus” and Ethel Ann Fleming. He grew up and attended schools in Indianapolis before returning to Ottawa, KS. Ken worked as a research and development technician for King Radio in Ottawa and Topeka, KS. He was a licensed HAM Radio operator (call sign: “N0UTE”), and a contributor and reporter to the Kansas Multiple Sclerosis Newsletter. Ken loved aviation and completed his ground school and solo flight. He also graciously volunteered over 1000 hours of service to Indiana University Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Ann (List) Fleming. He is survived by his father, Gus; and siblings, Phyllis B. Fleming, August E. Fleming Jr. and Ronald Joe Fleming. His shalf-sister, Lauren Fleming as well as other step-brothers and sisters in the Pfeiffer family also survive him. Visitation will be from 4pm- 8PM on Tuesday, September 11th at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. Final services and burial will be at Richmond Cemetery in Richmond, KS.
