Kenneth "Phil" Watts

Phil was born in Greenfield, Indiana on April 1, 1936. His parents were Dr. Kenneth and Mildred Watts. He went to school at Greenfield High School and continued his academics at Indiana University, graduating with a business degree.

Phil was President and CEO of Indianapolis Office Supply and Executive Director of The Athenaeum. He was a member of The Lions Club, Columbia Club, Athletic Club, Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library, and was a founding member of the Indianapolis Ballet. Along with being an outdoor enthusiast and avid fisherman, Phil was a longtime fan of the Colts, Pacers, and IU.

Phil is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Mildred Watts; son Bret Watts; and daughter Claire Watts.

Phil is survived by his son Bruce Watts and his wife Mary Ellen; son-in-law Jeffrey Mckahan; grandchildren Jacob Watts and Lauren Mckahan; and Sharon Phillips, his close friend & companion.

A visitation for Kenneth will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.

Funeral services will be private for family members and close friends on Thursday at Crown Hill Cemetery.
