Larry Krauser, who loved music and church and his family, passed away peacefully at home on Christmas Eve 2025. Born in Elkhart to Marty (Rogers) and John Joseph "Joe" Krauser, Larry was a cradle Episcopalian who served in multiple roles in his faith community throughout his life, most recently serving on the altar team and live streaming team at St. Paul's in Indianapolis.
From a rock band called the Counts to composing a Mass; graduating from Butler with a degree in composition; working at Wurlitzer and Baldwin Piano Companies; teaching K-8 general music, choir, and band at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel; tuning pianos and directing Strings & Jazzy things music camp, Larry lived in a world of music every day.
Larry loved St. Paul's church, Butler University, golf, chess, travel, wry humor, shrimp cocktail, and strawberry shortcake with lots of whipped cream. He is survived by his wife Joyce, daughter Emily (Kimber) and brother Denny (Cathy). May Larry's love sing evermore through those who knew him.
Donations in his honor may be made to St. Paul's general fund, St. Paul's Music, or Streets to Home homeless ministry through St. Paul's outreach program.
