79, of Indianapolis passed away June 25, 2016. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 19, 1937 to the late Carroll and Mary Alice Whisman. Leland was a machinist with Hittle Machine & Tool for 45 years, retiring in 2006. He was an Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #261, Beech Grove Masonic Lodge #694, a Master Mason, past Monarch of the Sahara Grotto and Indianapolis Yorkshire. Leland is survived by his wife: Joyce Whisman of 57 years, children: Norma, Vincent (Sally), Kevin (Paula) Whisman, sisters: Carol Smile, Sherry Mills and Alice Horock, brothers: Raymond (Kathy), Bill (Diane) Whisman, Dean (Debbie), Keith (Mary) Price, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: LeRoy Price. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, from 4:00 – 8:00 in Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary.
