Nécrologie de Lenka Hurt
Mrs. Lenka Louise McNeal Hurt, the fifth child and daughter of the late Lonnie McNeal Sr., and Alfreda M. Trotter McNeal, was born October 4, 1962, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Preceded in death were siblings Royce J. McNeal, Brenda Covington and Lonnie McNeal Jr. Lenka loved the Lord. Strong in her faith, she professed a hope in Christ at an early age, and made Church of Jesus her church home. Lenka attended Indianapolis Public schools for her education graduating from Arsenal Technical Hight School. Promptly after graduation, Lenka worked in the service industry. She cared for folks wholeheartedly and always had a nurturing spirit and a passionate love for culinary arts. Lenka’s career path took her even further into this passion, as she worked for Gennesaret Free Clinic for the last 19 years, as well as Fed Ex the last 10. She cared for people like no one else could. Never meeting a stranger, full of laughs and the warmest of smiles, Lenka never had co¬workers, she considered them as family!! Lenka could brighten the darkest of days with her comradery and the funniest of jokes. Keeping you in stiches. She never missed a beat. Lenka, loved life, and her encouraging, caring spirit never allowed her to see anyone hungry or suffering. Lenka’s encouragement and support continued to be unwavering. That strength took Lenka, and her spouse Bryan on their next adventure, and a career choice of a lifetime, entrepreneurship. In 2017, Holy Smoke Heavenly BBQ became a reality. While in business, they rec’d the highest of accolades for their mouth watery entrees and delightful deserts. Not a soul ever walked away unhappy or unsatisfied. Lenka was united, in holy matrimony to Mr. Bryan Hurt on June 4, 2008. She often spoke about Bryan being the love of her life! Their love was destined to happen from their first meeting!! This love found its way to our taste buds through the dishes they made side by side. In life and in the kitchen, together they made our hearts happy. Lenka will be remembered as a shining star. She brightened the lives of those who knew her and had the best comedic flare! Never without the sincerest of hearts, kindest of words, and encouragement, her banter, and the love displayed to others will truly be missed. Lenka remained the strongest, most loving and caring wife, mother, sister, auntie and friend even during her most trying time. She will be remembered for her loving nature, gentil spirit, as well as her kindness and generosity. She loved and was loved by all. Mrs. Lenka Louise McNeal Hurt departed this life on November 19, 2021 at the age of 59 years. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories her loving and devoted husband, Bryan Hurt, son Lance Ligon, brother Alfred S. McNeal, sisters Josane B. McNeal and Angela M. McNeal, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
