

He was born December 24, 1932 in Adolphus Kentucky. At the age of 17 he took on responsibility for support of his family of 7, traveling to Indianapolis to work during the day while going to school at night. He graduated high school from Manual High School in Indianapolis. He married Claudine Myers in Springfield , Tennessee on August 29, 1953. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He became a master plumbing contractor and was the owner of his own plumbing/ mechanical companies, Sullivan Plumbing and Westside Mechanical Services. He also worked as a mortgage banker and realtor. He was a life long learner, taking college classes to enhance his business skills. He retired at the age of 80.
He was a generous Christian who lived the principles modeled by Jesus. He was a devoted father who always made time for his children in spite of long work days. He always cared for those who needed protection or help, donating his time and service in many ways. He was an active member and deacon of Aldersgate Free Methodist Church and John Knox Presbyterian Church. He loved to tell stories, and was always available to give support and advice to those who needed it.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Foster Sullivan and father King Sullivan He is survived by his wife, Claudine, daughter Sherry Axline, son Keith, 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 6 siblings.
He was much loved and will be sorely missed.
