

A proud alumnus of the Dayton Art Institute, Linda graduated in 1966 with a Degree in Fine Arts which laid the foundation for a fulfilling career that spanned several decades.
Linda married Richard Nelson in June of 1966 and divorced in 1975.
From 1967 to 1974, Linda started her career at L.M. Berry of BellSouth Telephone in Graphic Design and Marketing. Her professional journey did not end there; he later worked as a Lead Artist at Antioch Publishing in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Her art contributed to calendars, books, cards journals and of course bookmarks. This showcased her creativity for visual arts.
She then went on to be a Master Designer for American Greetings in Cleaveland, Ohio. Where her artistic talent was used for cards, calendars and many other products. Linda’s kindness and generosity were hallmarks of her character. She was always willing to lend a hand to others and was known for his positive outlook on life. Beyond her professional endeavors, she had a deep passion for animals, often working with shelters and catch and release programs to decrease the feral cat population.
Her interests extended to photography, reading, cooking, wildlife preservation, creating artwork and travelling. Linda traveled to Egypt, London, Paris including a Safari in Africa where she even rode in a hot air balloon.
Linda took great pride in her family, with her daughter Melinda (Jeff) VanVlymen. She is also survived by her brothers Michael (Connie) Kidwell and Curtis Kidwell as well as her sister, Joellen (Chuck) Bohman. Her grandchildren Nicholas, Abigail, and Thomas VanVlymen, along with a network of other family members and friends who will remember her fondly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elsie Kidwell and her brother Joey.
Linda will be remembered for her warm spirit, unwavering kindness, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
