

Lois B. (Williamson) Grubiak, 72, passed away on September 20, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lois was born in Constableville, New York on September 15, 1949 to Gilbert and Doris Hoage Williamson. She is survived by her son Jeff (Andrea) Capron and their four children of Boonville, New York, and her son, Christopher (Mary) Provence of Indianapolis, Indiana, and their two children, Jaytel and Aviere. Lois is also survived by brothers and sisters, Gilda Krywosa, Teresa Williamson, Rhonda Tomasi, Ryan Williamson, Rob Williamson, Ina Schleicher, Stephanie Hall, and Joy Kranbuhl. She was predeceased by two brothers, Alan Williamson and Rex Williamson.
Lois was a graduate of South Lewis Central High School, Class of 1967. She enjoyed playing guitar, writing songs and poems, and singing hymns. She was proud of her active career. As an adult, she lived in several states and eventually settled in Indianapolis, Indiana for the last 23 years of her life. On the eastside of Indy, she became the president of the resident council at Berne Court Apartments and was known for delivering homemade Christmas cookies while singing carols accompanied on guitar by her later years’ sweetheart, Alfredo. She also served as an activities assistant at Rosewalk Village and a volunteer at People’s Health Center. Lois’ faith was important to her and a driving force in her life. She spent her final years continuing her crafts and avid love of word searches and cinnamon candy. She will be missed. She will be put to rest at Crownhill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
