

Lois Ann Robinson was born in McRoberts, Kentucky on November 9, 1949, to the late John Arthur and Sammie Lee Washington. She grew up the oldest daughter of six children - three sisters and two brothers.
In 1962, the family moved from Gary, West Virginia to Indianapolis, Indiana. In 1967, Lois graduated from Arsenal Technical High School. She and her family united with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church
and was a member of the choir for many years. In 2000, she became a member of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church where she also was a member of the choir.
During her working years, Lois was employed at Indiana Bell Company. She later began her career as a receptionist for Studio 2000 Hair Salon, Lowe Gray Steele and Darko LLP and Cohen and Malad LLP where she retired in 2015.
In March of 2017, she was united in holy matrimony to James Edward Robinson. She cherished her role as wife, mother, grandmother, sisters and aunt. Lois was a ray of sunshine. Her smile was infectious, her hugs some of the warmest embraces. Her words of comfort or general advice allowed you to look at life differently. Her love for her family and friends kept her full of life. Lois was often referred to as one of the gentlest souls.
Lois Ann Robinson departed this earthly life on December 10, 2023, at the age of seventy-four. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sammie Lee Washington, her brothers Charles Washington
and John Ed Washington; and her sisters, Arthurlene Washington and Blanche Smith.
Her beautiful memory will be fondly remembered by; her husband, James Robinson; daughters, Terri Washington and Cierra Gaither; granddaughter, Mholyja Washington; great-granddaughter, Aubrei Mholik
Washington; sisters, Joyce Williams and Loretta Washington; brother-in-law, William Angelo Smith; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
