On September 6, 2013, Lora Dean Blake lost her four year battle with ALS at the age of 82. She passed peacefully at her home of 52 years, surrounded by her family with prayer, music and love. Dean was a proud veteran of the USMC, nurse, loving wife of Dick Blake (D 8.4.2009) mother of 7, grandmother of 18, great grandmother of 11 and sister to Margaret Cooley (Walt) and Daniel Poynter (Vicki)
Dean was an avid gardener, lover of flowers, books and music, an accomplished cook, antique collector, and thrift store aficionado. She was a loyal fan of the Indianapolis Colts and an adopted �"GMA†to children of close friends who frequently dropped by after school for ice cream.
