

85, of Indianapolis, passed away October 2, 2014 at home. Louis was born January 12, 1929 in Biloxi, Mississippi to the late Louis and Amelia (Carmier) Blanchard. Louis was a carpenter and master craftsman. He loved building quality furniture for family and was a longtime, dedicated member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Louis is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Freda C. Blanchard; children: Guy L Blanchard, Karen F. (David) Morris, Susan J. (Don) Walker, Carol (T.J.) Hinds, Robin E. (Tony) Ambegia, and Diane L. (Bill) Wirey; sisters, Eva Fontain and Edna Taylor; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Louis was preceded in death by his brothers, Milton and Clyde Blanchard and sisters, Yvonne Babuchna, Irene Blanchard and Isabelle Trayhan. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 3 – 7 PM in Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 8th at Little Flower Catholic Church. Entombment follows at Calvary Cemetery.
