Marcia Kiger of Indianapolis, Indiana, and formerly of Brownsburg, Indiana, died of cancer on February 19, 2020 at 77 years of age.
Survived by her husband of 25 years Michael Kiger, two daughters, Quintanna Wilburn (John) and Tatia White (Joel), one son, Kane Neese (Michelle), and one Step-son, Jeff Kiger (Michele) with 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren (with one on the way). She is also survived by her brother, Rex Burnell, 5 nieces and 1 nephew plus their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Wayne Burnell and R. Marnell Burnell Shepherd and sister Kathy Davis.
Graduating from Ben Davis High School in 1960, she was office manager for the The Hendricks County Guide/Gazette and The West Side Messenger Newspapers, and Allied Exhibitions before taking her skills to Miami Florida with Southam Exhibitions. Marcia returned to Indiana in 1996 to care for her mother before finishing her working career at Patrick’s Office Supply in Brownsburg from which she retired in 2010.
She was a member of Job’s Daughters, Eastern Star, Delta Sigma Sorority, and enjoyed hosting parties and spending time with family and friends.
Marcia was a devoted wife, mother, sister and daughter. She taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir at Clermont Christian Church.
Her children called her blessed.
Family will gather privately to rejoice, reminisce and remember Marcia’s life.
