
94, of Indianapolis, loving and gentle wife and mother was born into eternal life on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon surrounded by her family at home. A lifetime Indiana resident, Marie was born on March 1, 1919 in Evansville. She attended Roman Catholic elementary and secondary schools and graduated from Mundelein College in Chicago, IL in 1941. Marie married Dante L. Ventresca of Western Springs, IL on December 16, 1944. In 1958, they moved to Brownsburg, and Marie and Dante settled in Indianapolis in 1966 where they raised their eleven children. Marie is survived by Dante, her beloved husband of 69 years, and their children, Mimi, James, Thomas (Gini Wharton), Charlotte (John) Petry, Joel, Brian (Sarah Adams), Anne (Peter) Masciopinto, Laura (Gregg) Montgomery, Dante C. (Rachael), Karen (Brent) Silcox, and Vincent (Dianne); their grandchildren, Kimberly Ventresca, Sarah, Christopher, and Claire Silcox, Katherine Masciopinto, Simone Montgomery, Benjamin and Renee Ventresca, and Marcella Ventresca; her brother Louis (Joan) Rudd and many loving nieces and nephews. Marie is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles Borromeo and Charlotte (Reitz) Rudd; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph F. and Betty Rudd; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Laura V. Brown; her grandson, Matthew C. Ventresca, and her daughter-in-law, Tess M. Ventresca. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 57th Street and Central Avenue, Indianapolis, IN.
