

Marie Wiggins was born July 29th, 1930, to Herbert and Mattie McNeal, in Whiteville, Tennessee.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 12 years old, and became a member of William Chapel Baptist Church in Humboldt, Tennessee. Later, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1947, and became a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, under the Pastorate of Reverend Conrad Odom. She graduated from Central High School in 1948.
United in holy matrimony to Ezell Wiggins on June 12th, 1949. From this union three children were born. Ezell Jr., Patricia Ann and Nathaniel. The family moved to Des Moines, Iowa in June 1960 to start a Fundamental Baptist Church. The church was planted in 1962 under the leadership of Ezell Wiggins, of which she became a member.
She served faithfully in various capacities and was known for writing plays and presenting them on special occasions. Many of her plays were used by other churches. She had the joy of leading all three children to salvation. Ezell retired from True Bible Baptist in 1997, and they both moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and both became members of Emmanuel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Darryl K. Webster. She attended faithfully and enjoyed teaching New Members classes and writing some plays for the church.
She served faithfully at Second Baptist Church in Lafayette, Indiana, where Ezell served as Interim Pastor for three years. Moving back to Indianapolis, she remained a faithful member, attending Sunday School, Bible Study and Women’s Missionary Ministry.
Her husband preceded her in death on July 17th, 2019. She leaves to mourn her death, Ezell Jr., Patricia Ann, Nathaniel and Lorraine Johnson (spiritual daughter). Several grandchildren and great grandchildren and special sisters in law.
