

Marvenus L. Brack, 49, was born June 20, 1974, in Kankakee Illinois. He fell asleep in death on October 2, 2023. Marvenus was the oldest of three children. He graduated from Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School in 1992. In 1994 he relocated to Indianapolis Indiana where he attended Ivy Tech Community College for Culinary Arts. He later continued his education at Lincoln Tech for electrical training and even obtain a pharmacy tech license.
Marvenus was affectionately known as “Big M” to his childhood friends. After moving to Indianapolis, he adopted the nickname “V” to many others and in 2011 he earned the name “Uncle V”. Marvenus was very laid, quick witted with good sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was an excellent cook, who loved sharing recipes and tips on meal preparation. He had a passion for coaching football and dedicated several years coaching the youth in the community. In his downtime you could find him watching basketball, football, tailgating or playing cards. He loved playing poker, or you could find him on the spades table laughing and telling jokes.
Marvenus was a protective son to his mother and a loyal brother to his siblings. He was a generous, loving, gentle and affectionate uncle to his niece Ryleigh & nephew Ethan.
Surviving relatives include his mother DeLois Barnes (Indianapolis, IN); brother Omari Brack (Chicago, IL); sister Raven (Brack) Hill (Live Oak, TX); son Shae Burford (Indianapolis, IN); niece Ryleigh Hill (Live Oak, TX); nephew Ethan Hill (Live Oak, TX); cousin Shaquaria Torrey (Indianapolis, IN). Marvenus also leaves memories that will be cherished by his godchildren: Sierra, Lil Eric, Devin, America, Eli and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge those who selflessly supported Marvenus during the final days of his journey: Tyrone (Heidi) Cardwell, Brandy Cole, Eric Shoemaker, Niffy Torrey, Venecia and Mario Medina, Andrew (Viola) Brack, Sarah Moss, The Salt Family, Dee, Martina and Uncle Alex.
Marvenus was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Andrew and Ethel Brack of Kankakee, IL, paternal grandparents W.C. and Annie Tucker of Kankakee, IL and his father Marvin L. Tucker.
