77, of Indianapolis, departed this life at home on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Marvin was born August 18, 1937 in Indianapolis to the late William and Bessie (Donahue) Ballard. He worked his life as an electrician, and was always dedicated to his church. Marvin loved gospel music and traveled with gospel groups playing guitar and bass. He was the last of “The Old Country Church Singers”, and was also a licensed minister. He liked to fish and watch NASCAR. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhart. Marvin was a member of Redeemer Bible Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Rosemary Ballard; children, Rose (Terry) Beasley, Marvin (Jill) Ballard, Jody Ballard-Gardner, Rebecca Ballard and Amanda Ballard; brother, William “Bill” Ballard; 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation for Marvin will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 29th at Family Funeral Care followed by services at 1:00 pm. Interment Floral Park Cemetery.
