Mary Jane Santarossa

64, died unexpectedly at her home on 12/22/15 in Unionville, IN.

Mary was born on 9/12/51 in Anderson, IN to Robert and Irene Schaffer. She was raised in Alexandria, IN before going on to attended Ball State University from 1969 through 1973 where she met the love of her life David Santarossa. Mary is survived by her husband of 35 years David Santarossa, children: Allison Santarossa, Domenic (Angela) Santarossa and Bobby Santarossa; grandchildren: Nico and Ella Santarossa, sisters: Rebeka Franklin, Indianapolis, Ann Greer, Anderson and Jill Schaffer, Bloomington. She is preceded in death by her mother and father: Irene and Robert Schaffer of Alexandria and her daughter: Carly Marie Santarossa of Indianapolis.

Mary lived for her family; they were the light of her life. She had an extreme passion for life and enjoyed spending time with friends. She was the most amazing cook and loved adventures. Mary loved spending time at her home on Lake Lemon and was an avid gardener. She never met a stranger, everyone loved Mary. Her smile and sense of humor would light up a room. She will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29th, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm in Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 30th, at 10:00 am in St. Pius X Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to Mass.
