

Loving mother of Michael (Carol) Teipen, Ann Teipen (deceased), Betsy (Tim) Robbins, Carla Kittler, Susan Stinson (deceased), Margy Teipen, Andrea Long and Lisa Teipen. Grandmother of Jeremy (Georgeanna) Teipen, Monique (Brian) Baker, Jonathan (Becky) Teipen, Jennifer (Matt) Teipen, Rebekah Teipen, Kendra Stinson, Josiah Stinson, Caleb (Kate) Stinson, Evan (Krista) Stinson, Janna (Joel) Mendez, Andrea Stinson, Jim J. (Jennifer) Long III, Nicholas Long and Allison (Brian) Crispin. Great-grandmother of Miranda and Schulyer Nehrig, Isaac, Ella and Abby Baker, Gabriel Stinson and Adelynn Crispin. She had two daughters of the heart, Kim Siegfried and Sheryl Whitaker.
She attended Holy Angels School, St. John Academy and Marian College. At age 14 she began a lifetime of service to her faith, playing the organ during high school and later at St. James and St. Catherine churches for daily Mass. She was often a requested soloist. She was part of a quartet and was a piano accompanist for the K of C Choral Group for many years.
Married at 21 to Clarence (Dan) F. Teipen, she settled on the south side. When her youngest child started school, she fulfilled a life-long dream by graduating from Purdue nursing school and working as an RN at St. Francis Hospital until her retirement in 1996.
She maintained lifelong friendships with her grade school friends, participating with them in euchre club for over 50 years.
She had a lifelong love of travel and visited many states, Europe, and Asia and cruised to Alaska and the Caribbean. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She took great joy in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, leaving them with a legacy of serving the Lord first and others second.
She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered…
Mass of Christian Burial will be at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Monday, March 26th at 10:00AM. Visitation will be Sunday, March 25th from 4 – 8 PM at Little and Sons Funeral Home Stop Eleven Chapel. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
