He served in Vietnam as a Medic and finished his career after the Desert Storm conflict as an NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) technician. After retiring from the Army in 1991 Michael worked for the USPS (United States Postal Service) first as a Rural Carrier then as a City Carrier, retiring in 2017. He felt great pride in his federal service.

Michael had a love of animals including pets at home over many years and the many pets on his mail route. Michael enjoyed telling stories and made friends everywhere he went. He spent many hours on his bass boat and fishing from shore – always seeking the big fighter at the end of the line.
Michael’s cremains will be buried at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, Wisconsin. A celebration of life for Michael will be planned in the spring when friends and family can gather outdoors in both Indianapolis and Wisconsin. The date of these celebrations will be announced in the future.
