

Mildred Louise Dillon (Midge), 87, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on April 1, 2020. After spending 6 days at the Johnson Co. Memorial Hospital suffering from the COVID19 virus, she died at the Otterbein Senior Life Center, in Franklin, IN, where she had lived since October, 2019.
Midge was born in Indianapolis, IN, to Helen (Thompson) and William Jackson, on August 23, 1932.
Midge married Paul W. Dillon on January 16, 1947; they had been married for nearly 66 years at the time of Paul's death in November of 2012.
Midge never worked outside the home, she was a proud homemaker all of her life. She loved to cook and especially loved to bake. With 5 kids at home, and a love for baking, there was always something wonderful coming out of the oven. She also loved to collect salt and pepper shakers. She always appreciated a new pair of shakers as a birthday or Christmas gift, or from someone returning from a trip.
Midge is survived by sons, Michael (Donna), Patrick (Debra), and Tim (Elizabeth) Dillon, and daughter, Maryanne (Rick) George; 9 grandchildren, Andy, Angela, Brian, Jeff, Katie, Carol, Karen, Monica, and Stephanie; and 7 great grandchildren, Cassie, Abby, Dillon, Marisa, Jake, Abner, and Natalie.
Midge is preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Dillon; daughter, Helen Dillon; son, Paul Wm. Dillon; parents, William and Helen Jackson, and brother, Richard Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Riley Hospital for Children.
Due to the current crisis concerning the COVID19 pandemic, there will be no visitation and no funeral. A private, family only, graveside service will be held at 10:30AM, on April 4, 2020. Burial will be in Indianapolis, at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery.
