Mr. Otha L. Collins

Otha served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He later worked as a Supervisor from the Indianapolis Water Company, where her retired after thirty years of service in 1995.

Otha married Thelma Lee Walter and to their union were four children; Edward Collins Sr. (Ernestine), Bettye Price, Brenda Collins-Powell, and Maxine Collins.

Mr. Otha Lee Collins departed this life at the age of 84, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11:45 a.m. at the VA Hospital. At his bedside were his grandson and caregiver Rayseain McCray Jr. and his daughter Brenda Collins-Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents, three bothers; Nathaniel, Robert, David Collins and two sisters; Rebecca Fitzpatrick and Eddie Scott.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Thelma Collins, his primary caregivers Rayseain McCray Jr. and Maxine Collins; four brothers George (Clem), Ronnie (Brenda), Charles �"Cliff” (Cassie), and Ricky Collins; two sisters Patricia (AC) Cumbee , and Ethel Day; his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
