

James Louis Foster, Sr., much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the age of 81. James was born in Carbon Hill, Alabama on August 4, 1928 and graduated from Carbon Hill High School. He was a resident of Foley, Alabama. He moved to Indianapolis in 1950 with his beloved wife, Louise. They were married for 59 years. Public Service of Indiana employed him for 33 years where he retired in 1984. He later moved back to Alabama and was employed by Riviera Utilities for ten years. James was active in the Boy Scouts of America and served as Scout Master. He was also a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his sons, James Foster, Jr. (wife, Barb), Stephen Foster, (wife, Jerri), daughter, Laura Alexander, grandchildren, Chad, Sean, Jamie, Craig, Andy, Spencer, Zachary, Nicholas (wife, Sara), Scott and great-grandchildren, Sidney, Derrick, Braden, Lucien, Zamira, and Jackson. His wife, Margaret Foster, mother, Marilda Beasley Foster, father, James Lee Foster, and brother, Charles Foster preceded him in death. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 700 West 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. Visitation will be on Monday June 21, 2010 from 4:00 -8:00 PM and again from 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 22, 2010 with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM.
