

Kenneth Allen Graves passed away unexpectedly at his home during the early morning hours of March 18, 2010. Kenneth was born on January 29, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1979 and Purdue University with two bachelor's degrees, psychology (1986) and computer systems engineering (1987). Ken was employed by BC Forward as a Senior Project Manager. He will be missed dearly by his wife of 14 years, Margaret Landers Graves, his beautiful children, Lauren Elizabeth, 9, Grace Francesca, 4, and Jonathan Allen, 2, as well as his loving mother, Nancy Graves, his brother, Anthony Bell (Valeria), and his sisters, Nanette Frazier (Rickey), Janice Davison (Mike) and Angela Graves. He was a favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews on both his and his wife's sides of the family. In 2004, he was preceded in death by his father, William Allen Graves. Ken was loved by his family and friends for his kind spirit, sense of humor, easy going disposition, patience with their computer questions and loyal friendship. Ken enjoyed spending time with his family, playing basketball with old friends, vacations at the beach and Colts football. He was a devoted father, son, husband and friend. Ken was a member of the men's group at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church where he was a parishioner since his marriage to Margaret there in 1995. In addition to his volunteer work at St. Joan of Arc, he gave many hours to Happy Hollow Children's Camp. Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 West 38th Street, from 5-8 p.m., Monday, March 22nd, and at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4217 N. Central Avenue, from 10-11a.m., Tuesday, March 23rd, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m., Fr. Guy Roberts, officiating. Burial will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions honoring Ken's memory may be made to the Graves Family Memorial Fund.
