

Nelson Wingate Heinrichs, 76, of Scottsdale Arizona died on Monday, March 14th surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Karen Nolan Heinrichs whom he married on the 20th of January 1968; his daughter, Laura Heinrichs Mace and son-in-law Peter Mace; son, Nelson Wingate Heinrichs III and daughter-in-law Janay Oakland Heinrichs; son, John Nolan Heinrichs and daughter-in-law Melissa Patterson Heinrichs; and eight grandchildren, Emily, P.J., Gabby and Charlie Mace of Atlanta, Georgia, William, Avery, and Hudson Heinrichs of Scottsdale, Arizona, Nelson IV of Columbus, OH.
Nelson will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to his grandchildren who affectionately called him â€?"POPPIâ€. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on the 27th of July 1939 to Nelson and Helen Heinrichs. He graduated from Broad Ripple High School and Indiana University. While at Indiana, he was an enthusiastic member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. After spending time working in Chicago, Nelson was brought to Muncie, Indiana with his purchase of Jordan Paper Products later renamed SourceOne. He continued as President until his retirement in 1996.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his many hobbies of fishing, travel, wine, and dining with friends and family. Throughout his retirement, his most special times were spent at Duck Lake in Michigan and in Scottsdale, Arizona on the beautiful golf course at Troon Country Club.
