

William Elmer Heuser (83) of Indianapolis passed into Jesus arms on December 19, 2011. Bill graduated from Arsenal Tech and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a previous Commander of American Legion Post 374, member of Murat Shrine Club, attended Meridian Street United Methodist Church, and was a retiree of Eli Lilly after 40 years of employment. In his leisure, Bill volunteered at The Indianapolis Zoo, enjoyed playing golf, yard work, bridge tournaments, and visiting zoos. He never met a stranger, was a jokester, and always enjoyed a funny story and a big laugh! A special heart-felt thank you to all his caregivers at Clare Bridge of Carmel and Seasons Hospice for all the love, patience, tenderness, and extra-special care extended to dad--God Bless each of you-his earth angels.
Bill is survived by his two children Mark Heuser and Christi (Pat) Egenolf; his four grandchildren- Austin, Evan & Owen Egenolf, and Audra (Charles) Long; and sister Mary Ruth (Chuck) Eickman. He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer C. and Goldie (Wollam) and sister Janice Badger.
Celebration of Bill's life will take place on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Gothic Chapel, located at Crown Hill Cemetery (entrance at intersection of 34th Street & Boulevard Place.) Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the Funeral Service starting at 1:00 pm.
