90, passed away January 13, 2010. A World War II Veteran, Charles fellowshipped daily with fellow veterans, together known as "The Breakfast Bunch," at the McDonald's at 38th and Illinois St. for many years.
Charles was retired from the Defense Finance Center and was also an active member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and the Enright Social Club.
He leaves to cherish his legacy wife, Nina P. Holley; daughter, Charlene (Paul) Harden; brother, Gerald (Dorothy) Smith; grandchildren, Jay (Kendra) Parnell, Andre (Lisa) Parnell, Stephenie (James) Johnson, Paul Harden, Jr., Michael (Cynthia) Harden; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of extended relatives and friends.
