He was inducted into the United States Navy, serving his country from June 24, 1946 to April 24, 1948, and was honorably discharged.
Early then transitioned to Aurora, Illinois where he met and united in marriage with Dora Smith. Although no children were born of this union, they were loving and devoted to one another.
Early Cabell Vaughn departed this life on Friday, January 1, 2010 at 9:45 p.m. the age of 86 years, 9 months and 4 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; 9 sisters and 4 brothers.
He leaves to cherish his legacy sisters, Claudette V. Hopkins and Bertha Brown; and a host of extended relatives and friends.
