
Nancy J. Beil 63, of Indianapolis, passed away July 24, 2009 on her 44th wedding anniversary. She was born March 18, 1946 in Hartford City, IN to the late Frank and Maryana Coulter Forkner. While she spent most of her time in Indianapolis, she was also a resident of Lake Placid, Florida. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she always had a smile on her face. We will miss her dearly. She was full of life until the very end. Nancy is survived by her husband Daniel A. Beil, son, Scott B. Beil (Kelli), daughter, Cheryl A. Campbell (Rick), sister, Suzanne Kostka (Richard) of Chicago, IL, and proud grandma to Shelby, Cailynn, Courtney, Drew, Kylie and Dane and many nieces and nephews. Nancy left a legacy through her ownership of the Polar Ice Company in Indianapolis. In 1975, She along with her husband Dan, bought City Ice of Anderson, IN. Together, they built the business to include 10 locations of Polar Ice servicing Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Kentucky. They grew the business by acquiring Redbud City Ice of Anderson, National Ice of Indianapolis, and Diamond Ice of North Webster, IN. In 1998 they sold Polar Ice Company. Currently, she was owner, secretary, and treasurer of Nu-Wood Millwork Company in Goshen, IN. She touched many people's lives through her leadership as a business owner and as an optimistic kind-hearted woman. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30 at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, Indianapolis. Calling will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday until the time of the service.
