Mrs. Shirley Ann Booth

Shirley Ann Board Booth was born March 12, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN to Evelyn Board and Robert Lee Martin.

Shirley attended the Indianapolis Public School System as a child and attended Shortridge High School. She later graduated from nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse and she also took courses at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.

Shirley was previously married and in 1969 she was married to Morris Trevor Booth. Shirley enjoyed sewing, quilting, travelling, and spending time with her family.

She retired from the United States Postal Service in October 1987 with over 20 years of service. After her retirement, she began a career as a Tax Professional with H&R Block.

Shirley was baptized at Allen Chapel AME in Indianapolis and at her passing was a member of Overcoming Church, Senior Pastor Bruce Farr.

Shirley Ann Booth departed this life at Methodist Hospital on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 at the age of 67.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister Delores Minion. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Morris Booth; children, Jenise Moore, Stephen Calhoun (Kim), Deanna Conerly, Mark Booth, Ursula Booth, and Vivian Gatewood (Darrell); a sister, Betty Glenn; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends and relatives.
