Mrs. Josephine Margaret Ellis

Josephine M. Ellis, 90, died on January 23, 2011. She graduated from Manuel High School. She was employed by Eli Lily and L.S. Ayers. She was member of the Eastern Star, and volunteered as a Pink Lady at St. Francis Hospital for over 25 years. Josephine was an avid gardener and won several community awards. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Inman (Dave), Joan Finchum (Jim), and son Larry Ellis (Carolyn), ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, three sisters Bert Murphy, Mary Welch, and Ada Blanck. She was preceded in death by her husband John Ellis, two brothers, Guy Whiteside and Gene Whiteside, and sister, Lucille Nalley. Services will be held on Thursday January 27, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Crown Hill Gothic Chapel with calling from 11:30 A.M. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery.
