

Mildred Scott was born to Alphonso Hudson and Emma Lou Westmoreland Hudson in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 31, 1943. Mildred passed away on the morning of July 30, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. At an early age Mildred gave her life to the Lord.
In 1965, Mildred Hudson, married the love of her life the late William Scott Jr., this December would have been their 51st Anniversary. From this union three sons were born, Damon, Derek, and Dale. Mildred was an extremely loving and nurturing mother, although she was outspoken and not afraid to tell you when to leave her house.
Mildred worked for IPS as a Teacher’s Aide, IMC Program, and Bus Monitor; and retired from Perry Meridian High School as an administrator for the In-School Suspension Department.
Mildred was well known for her cooking. She loved her grandchildren and was very supportive of them, always attending their school functions. She enjoyed socializing with her girlfriends, from matinee’s to dancing. She enjoyed listening to Marvin Gaye and watching her morning television shows; Young and the Restless, Wayne Brady, and Judge Mathis. Mildred also enjoyed her trips to the casino.
Mildred was a very giving woman and would loan anyone money, especially her oldest son “til the 15th” (inside joke).
She leaves to cherish her memory, her three sons, Damon (Katrina) Scott, Derek (Pamela) Scott, Dale Scott; 5 grandchildren, Damon II, Derek Jr., Dale Jr., Alyssa, Kendall; siblings, George Hudson, Mona Hudson, Phyllis Hudson, Estella Futch; goddaughter Candice Hill; godson Bryan Hill; and a host of family and friends.
