Ms. Ruby Jewel Jones, 74 passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in Greenfield, IN. She was born in Knox County, Girdler Kentucky to the late Liman Jones and Stacie H. Proffitt on September 28, 1942. Ruby is preceded in death by her son, James E. Jones, Brother Lenard Jones and two sisters, Nancy Pittman and Betty Nealy. She is survived by sisters Ida Turner and Christine Pedigo, Daughter Phyllis (Bruce) Nasby and Son David (Deborah) A. Napier; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Ruby worked many years at Wonderbread Bakery in many facets of production and also had been a hairdresser. She loved baking and cooking for family and friends, she was well known for her awesome dumplings and biscuits and gravy to name just a few of her good fixings. Ruby loved to go fishing, gardening and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.The family would appreciate donations to the research and early detection of pancreatic cancer in lieu of flowers.
