Myrna Lee Wilson

Myrna Lee Wilson, age 86, of Indianapolis, passed away August 6, 2025. She was born in Sullivan County, Indiana on August 23, 1938, to Woodrow and Frances Wilson. Myrna graduated from Hymera High School in the mid 1950’s. After high school, she moved to Ohio to work as a telephone operator. Myrna went on to become an assistant to the head of a major drug company where she worked for many years. After leaving the drug company she became a lobbyist for the Milk Producers Union in Ohio. After retirement, Myrna sold real estate as it kept her busy, allowing her to meet new people. Eventually Myrna moved to Florida to be near the ocean, living on the Atlantic side. While in Florida she was able to spend time with family that lived there. In 2007, Myrna moved back to Indiana to be closer to her siblings and other family members.

Myrna loved meeting new people and became friends with everyone she met. Some of the things she enjoyed most in her younger years were traveling, riding snow mobiles, and any type of water activity where friends and family were involved. In recent years, Myrna grew to love photography, often taking photos of nature, family and friends. She would often use these photos to make cards to send out for holidays, birthdays or just because.

Most recently, Myrna could be found playing cards and bingo with her friends in Greenwood who she had grown to love as family. All family and friends can be comforted in knowing that Myrna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and someday we will have the opportunity to see her again.

Myrna is survived by her siblings, Carlton (Roberta) Wilson and Maria Berry; and several nieces and nephews. Myrna is preceded in passing by her parents; and siblings, Eleanor Thurman, Wanda Handley, Fountain Wilson, Bradley Wilson, Anita Hussong and Paul Wilson.
