I feel very lucky to have bumped into Nancy at one of my favorite breakfast places.  I loaned her a cloth to clean her glasses and that was all it took.   We instantly started chatting, she invited my husband, daughter and I to sit with her at breakfast and we had a blast.  We had been having breakfast with her at least once a month ever since and are all sad that she is gone.  I really enjoyed trivia night with her this past winter and swapping baked goods at Christmas.  Her nut roll is so close to my potica.  I will cherish the recipes she shared with us and will miss our conversations.  May God hold her in his arms.

Nancy, I will miss you.  I thought we would be neighbors for another 20 years!  I remember the day you and Rose moved in and sadly, I will remember the last time I saw you in the driveway, never dreaming it would be the last.   I will miss our shared love of our dogs!  I will miss your jokes, especially  the one you told with the lisp and the salesman!!  I will miss our “quad kids” (as you liked to call us) breakfast outings!  I will miss how you didn’t have a green thumb and how I finally learned not to give you a live plant or flowers!  I think back to all our gatherings together with you and your dear mama Rose.  I know how much you missed your mom and dad and your brother Gary...what gives me the most peace in all this sadness, is that I truly believe you are finally together again❤️ 

I will miss you Nancy.  We had lots of fun working, playing, traveling and "eating" together.  I will miss bingo, the 1st Monday of each month,  sharing getting new cars, dog stories and the many other things we did together.  May you rest in peace my friend.  God bless you.  Mama Rose will be glad to have you home with her!


I worked with Nancy starting in 1995.  I traveled to Indianapolis almost every other week for about 2 years.  Nancy would go out to dinner with me at least once a week while I was there.  I used to join her and her brother, Gary, for dinner.  During this time, my sister passed.  Nancy was such a comfort during that time.  About six months later, Gary passed.  I'm hoping I made a difference during this time for her since I knew what she was going through.  Nancy and I became forever friends.  In 2001, she came up to Wisconsin for my wedding.  We've kept in touch throughout the years.  I will miss my friendship with a great lady.

Nancy was a favorite customer of mine where I work at A2Z cafe... In fact, it was her that introduced me to the owners and helped me get the job almost 4 years ago. I am forever grateful that we struck up a conversation and she made such a meaningful connection with me! But that is just the kind of person she was. Nancy was a riot, always dropping sassy comments and one-liners that kept everyone laughing. She would make little Christmas stockings for all of us at the cafe with little treats in them each year.  She was creative and fun. She always had something unusual or interesting to talk about! Warm, hilarious, exceptional, and unique...Nancy will never be forgotten. We miss you Nancy! 

I met Nancy when I was working at Indiana Bell many years ago.  I did not know her well but I knew she was a very knowledgeable person.  If I had a problem, she had the fix for it.  I am not sure how we got to be friends because we were total opposites in likes and dislikes but we did.  We would dine together, go to the movies, and we also went to Vegas with our moms!  We started a craft business together and began to work closely together to share our talents with others.  There were many a night we got a “scathingly brilliant idea” in the wee hours of the morning and start working on it to add to our products for later that day.  We were a pair!
We parted ways for a few years and when we got back together, it seemed like no time had passed.  She said to me, want to do craft shows again?  I immediately said YES!!  There were many days and hours we sat across the card table working on our jewelry for sale and coming up with more ideas for products.  Last year, we launched Scathingly Brilliant Ideas and was a vendor in eight shows last fall.  We even started to plan for this coming craft season, but God had other plans for her.
How Nancy and I became friends I have no idea but we would watch out for each other and be there for each other.  She was my business partner and a true friend.  I cannot imagine not hearing her voice and going out to dinner to discuss what we were going to do next.  She could be stubborn as a mule, but she had a heart of gold.  My heart hurts and I can barely see through my tears to finish this memory of her.  I prayed to God, please do not take her on Easter, please do not take her on Easter.  He did not, but He did have other plans for her.
She has gone way too soon and I will miss her terribly.  My bud, my friend, my business buddy.  It will be so hard to carry on without you.  Rest in peace, my friend.  I am sure Momma Rose is happy to see you.


    We are so terribly sad that Nancy has passed away and we send our sincere condolences to her family and many friends. 
    She was a frequent guest at our café. She had her favorite tables and would wait until one would open up. She would laughingly joke that she felt like she was queen of the dining room as she sipped coffee from a special ‘Nancy’ cup with a picture of a Beagle on it. And she’d hold court there with her beautifully manicured nails while playing Candy Crush and holding lively conversations.   
      Nancy made several friends at A2Z and   we became her little gang that she often invited to fun events. She hosted dinners at her home during holidays where she made her delicious pasta for all to enjoy. As a group ‘gift’, she made arrangements to treat us all to The Iron Skillet, her longtime favorite,  on more than one Christmas.  We will  cherish those memories as we knew she felt like we  were family. We hope she knew she was. Rest in peace Nancy, you will be missed.

I met Nancy in 1979, I worked for Lockhart Cadillac, she drove a brown 1979 coupe deville, and she was one of my favorite customers. Fast forward to today times, I work for Tom Wood ,she was still my favorite customer and Loved her Volvo’s.
God Speed Nancy, you will be missed ;-)
