Nancy Grimsley Goldstein

Nancy Grimsley Goldstein, 76 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on April 25, 2021. Nancy was born in Indianapolis to Doris and Earl Grimsley on September 17,1944. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School and attended Butler University. Nancy was married to Bernard Goldstein and was widowed in 2002. She was an ice skater in her youth and then for years worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where she also served as an Indy 500 Festival Princess. Later, for many years, she was a pre-school teacher at Children’s Corner at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where she was a member. She was on the Altar Guild and served on the Clowes Hall Women’s Committee. Nancy is survived by sisters Barbara McCord and Sally Shepherd (David P Shepherd). Other family members include: Jay and Kathy McCord; Caitlin and Sam Carnes and Ellis; Jacob McCord; Mark and Becca McCord and Finlee; Sloan and Dawn McCord; Jackson and Carson McCord; Johnny and Tami Strack, Taylor and Kendyl; Peter and Jessica Strack; Nicole Strack and Sydney Lynn. A private funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church followed by a private burial at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church or the Indianapolis Humane Society.
