Norman Francis Sharbaugh Jr.

Norman “Norm” Francis Sharbaugh, Jr., age 80, of Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Norm was born May 6, 1944 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Norman Francis Sharbaugh, Sr. and Elizabeth Helen [Brier] Sharbaugh.

Norm received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, IN before attending Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI. He devoted his life as an Evangelist for over 50 years and authored multiple books. During those years, he also served the Lord by teaching Bible in a Christian school, pastoring two churches for short periods of time, and interim pastoring in two churches.

He loved his kids and grandkids and loved having fun with them. He adored his wife of 53 years. She was his steady help and pillar to the very end. He loved studying God’s Word and preaching it to others. More than anything, he loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. He wanted everyone to understand that they needed to repent and trust Jesus and His finished work on the cross alone so that they could enjoy an eternal relationship with Him.

Norm is survived by his loving wife, Teresa “Teri” [Hubble] Sharbaugh; children: Melinda Simpkins, Julie Rose (Bronson), Curt Sharbaugh (Laura), Joy Young (Brian), John Sharbaugh (Marissa), Evan Sharbaugh (Brianna); sister: Mary Ann Iaconis (Albert); grandchildren: Titus, Berea, Grace, and Rachel Simpkins, Justin (Alyssa), Austin (Annamay), Elyssa, Nathan, Kelden, and Ian Rose, Micah, Mackenna, Jocelyn, and Luke Sharbaugh, David, Edan, and Joelle Young, Emerson and Jackson Sharbaugh, Ezekiel and Karis Sharbaugh; and great-grandchildren: Emmett and Paxton Rose, Sylvie and Shepherd Rose. He is preceded in death by his parents: Norman and Elizabeth Sharbaugh; brother: David Sharbaugh; grandchildren: Malachi and Jordan Sharbaugh; and great-grandchildren: Alex Rose, Teagan, River, and Logan Rose.

A visitation for Norm will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Crosspointe Baptist Church, 220 Country Club Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46234.

Norm will be laid to rest in Brownsburg Cemetery, Brownsburg, Indiana 46112.
