Novella H. Haralson

Novella H. Haralson of Indianapolis passed on January 27, 2026. She was born in Indianapolis to John F. Hollins and Janie B. McCormick Hollins. She graduated from Crispus Attucks High School with Honors.

She was baptized at an early age at New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church under Reverend Starks. Later in her adult life, she was affiliated with the Jehovah Witness.

Novella attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN., after a brief break; She continued her education in the medical field where she earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree.

Novella was employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield as an intake supervisor for a number of years.

Novella was a member of BPW Indiana (Business and Professional Women’s Association), a historical organization dedicated to supporting, mentoring and advocating for working women, focusing on professional development, networking and legislative action for women’s equality.

She is preceded in death by; son, Brian Keith; parents, John F. and Janie B.; brothers, John F., Wallace E., Arthur A. and Benjamin F. Hollins.

Novella is survived in death by, her sister, Geraldine H. Roscoe Malone; nieces, Rhonda Roscoe Porter, Elise R. Sanders, Gerri R. Vance, Sherri Hyatte (Schuman) and Karen Davis; nephews, Benjamin F. Hollins (Keith), and Keith Anthony Hollins; great-niece, Ashley R. Sanders; and a host of other great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, Gothic Chapel, located at 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46208, on February 6, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location, starting at 12:00 pm.
