Otis H. Boatright, Jr.

was born on July 14 1935 in

Nashville, Tennessee to Otis H. Boatright, Sr. and Mary

Staples Boatright. Otis accepted the

Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age and traveled

extensively doing Christian ministry. He was an inspiration to everyone he came into

contact. He was truly a beautiful person inside and out and his

presence will truly be missed.

17, 2012 at Kindred Care in Castleton. He was preceded in

death by his daughter, Vinnie Boatright, and both parents.

His memory will always be cherished by family and friends;

daughters, Mary Boatright-Resse (Ron) and Cynthia D.

Douglas; grandchildren, Juan Martin (Taleesha), Michael G.

Duerson, Mark (Marcus) Duerson and Debra (Larry Davis)

Duerson; five great-grandchildren; brothers, David J. and

Dr. Donald J. Boatright of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters,

Abbie Henry, Patricia Ball (Dr. James W.) of Savannah,

Georgia, Esther Anderson and Frances E. Boatright-Neal of

Nashville, Tennessee and Muriel Gant of Miami, Florida; a

loving aunt, Abigail Staples of Brooklyn, New

York/Nashville, Tennessee; and a host of nephews, nieces,

cousins and friends. Services will be held Saturday July 21, 2012 at Willams & Bluitt Funeral Home~Peoples Chapel 5252 East 38th Street at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place Monday July 23, 2012 at Sutherland Park Cemetery 10:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home.
